Missing Ship

            Here we are in the Port of Tacoma, WA once again.  Many times there is a large ship sitting right behind the pier that blocks most of the mountain view..... so, no ship but more background and mountain.  When I saw the nice light on the cranes and blue hour background, I could see this all edited, matted, and framed (if I were to get back into the mode of doing any framing)  I found a few ways to foul it up during editing but settled on this version that highlights the neat cranes.  It is a 4 shot HDR in Lr, all raw and natural, and the most underexposed shot was nearly black except for the tiny specular highlights that I wanted to preserve and not blow out, honest.  I have a new D810 compliments of the year end sales that I couldn't resist but the weather has been too crazy windy lately.  (just like when I was a kid and wanted to go fishing with my dad)  That will change tomorrow hopefully!
