Lavender Dancer 3318 - a photo on Flickriver

            The last (so far) damselfly to land on a boulder in the stream on the eastern side of the swamp. The damselflies that have landed there stayed until the sun was blocked, and then they's move to warmer duckweed and floating "logs." The Lavender Dancer is 1.1 to 1.3 inches long, small but not as delicate as two others I've been holding onto. (Part of a grand scheme which fell apart when, all of a sudden, there was tremendous activity last week ... including three butterflies.) 

This was the only lavender anything during the entire 12 weeks. I was thankful that it actually appears "purple" when I downloaded from the camera.
