Tule Bluet Damselfly 5717 - a photo on Flickriver

            One way to tell a Tule Bluet from other quite similar blue damsels is that this Bluet often perches with its abdomen curved downward. Tomorrow, I'll post another Cardinal Skimmer dragonfly which can be positively identified by its abdomen at rest sticking straight up in the air between its wings. Don't believe me, do you? You'll see.
