Bee and Black-eyed Susan 9085 - a photo on Flickriver

            Kind of a companion piece to yesterday's post taken two years later, this time with a Black-eyed Susan, not a thistle.

I was showing my granddaughter toady the value of planning and the burst mode. I gave her an SX50 for her 16th birthday in February,  and she's been doing extremely well with it. But she saw yesterday's post when we were in Sac, and asked, "how?"

"Easy," says I. "You park yourself in front of a flower that attracts bees, and wait. Then, with six frames per second and no film costs to worry about, shoot! Of course, experience helps, but success breeds success." She's a good kid. I expect a bee on something by summer's end. Hey, she already has a California Scrub Jay, and that took me five years.
