Eye and Orbit of Human Embryo - a photo on Flickriver

            The black choroid layer behind the retina stands in stark contrast to the unpigmented tissues, the latter visible only because of the hematoxylin/eosin stain.

This 2-cm embryo was passed spontaneously in the course of a miscarriage. It was much better preserved than is usual in such cases.
