            The Aurora app pinged me whilst I was settling down for the night last night so I hauled my lazy derriere off the couch.

An hour or so later I was stood at Magpie Mine waiting for the show to start.

There was a fair bit of green on the horizon throughout the night and just before my fingers froze off a hint of purple/pink arrived.

The purple sky one is a single exposure and the cooler one without aurora was a 8 shot pano shot using the Auto Rikenon 55mm f1.4 stitched in LR.

Even though the colour in the sky was fleeting and subdued it was still a beautiful place to be beneath the stars.
