Super Kmart Sign - a photo on Flickriver

Super Kmart Sign

            This store was opened as a regular Kmart store on March 5, 1964. In 1999 the store was renovated into a Super Kmart; a new front was put on the store, the garden / auto centers were incorporated into the store, and there was a new stockroom added behind the original Kmart Food space. The original Kmart-style drop ceiling is found throughout the store. This Super Kmart is 140,776 square feet; making it the smallest surviving Super Kmart. It is pretty neat that Kmart has been here for 50 years!
