A panel discussion held during the launch event of the Hand in Hand Initiative in Somalia on 5th March 2024. Panellists from the right include Dr. Mohammed Weli a technical senior advisor with the Somalia Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Mr. Luca Pagliara the European Commission Programme Manager Productive Sectors in Somalia, Mr. Mohamed Yussuf the Head of Credit and Microfinance SomBank, Dr. Aden Hussein director of animal production and research from the Somalia Ministry of Livestock, Forestry and Range, Mr. Abdulwahid Yussuf, CEO Bushra Business Bank, Mr. Ezana Kassa, FAO Somalia Head of Programmes, Ms. Shamsa Yusuf IRiS Financial Inclusion Advisor, and Ms. Viola Kaaria Programme Specialist FAO Somalia. Panelists reflected on investment opportunities emanating from East African Community market following the recent decision by Somalia to join EAC.
