Hunted Down

            During the 1950s, both the Belgians and the Dutch chose the Hawker Hunter to update their combat fleet and this to end, a plan was hatched for Fokker as well as the Belgian companies SABCA and Fairey to manufacture them under licence.

Alas, the Belgians retired them by 1963, and the earlier F.4 version had disappeared from the ranks in 1958, a mere two years after delivery.

This one, an F.4 with serial ID44 was a lucky survivor as it became a recruitment exhibit, before entering preservation.
