Nelson Mandela and the Robben Island Shakespeare

            A group of political prisoners in South Africa, including Nelson Mandela, signed their names next to particular passages from Shakespeare that spoke to them, in what is now called the Robben Island Shakespeare. The book was on display from May to October at the Folger, the first time it had been exhibited in the U.S.
