New Rose Arbor

            Today our handypeople Gloria and Ryan finished the new arbor to replace the one that fell over. This one should last. It's made of good-sized lumber and the posts are set two feet deep in concrete. ((The remains of the old arbor are lying at the right of the new one.) The Cecile Bruner rose has been trimmed back pretty drastically, though there's more of it than you may notice at first glance. Lynn says to be sure to mention that new growth is already beginning, despite our 2-week string of freezing nights.
