"A Sea of Dreams' (see description) - a photo on Flickriver

This is another shot (this time of an ornate oriental plate) from a recent visit to Snowshill Manor, Gloucestershire, UK, and a fascinating visit it was too! As far as photography is concerned it's hard to beat....something for everyone. Also thank you to Jo Turpin
for the inspiration to visit!!

Snowshill Manor is one of the National Trust's most popular properties.

A couple of points of interest......Charles Wade (the then owner of the Manor) originally wanted his collection to be viewed only by candlelight, (unfortunately for him the National Trust couldn't agree to this for obvious reasons, but they did install very dim electric candle lights, which does make it quite difficult to take photographs) and secondly he specified that no descriptions/labels in relation to the articles should be added as he felt that this often detracts from the viewing of the object.

Handheld, Pentax K3 II paired with the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART lens, standard run through in DxO Optics Pro on Mac, then cropped (50% ash) and tweaked in Snapseed on iPad Pro.
