Bantay Bell Tower (pre 2023 earthquake)

            Historical Significance: Originally built in 1591, the Bantay Bell Tower served as a watchtower for the town of Bantay, Ilocos Sur, before being converted into a bell tower by the adjacent church in 18571.
Cultural Icon: It’s one of Vigan’s most iconic symbols and has been a part of the region’s history for centuries, witnessing events from the Spanish colonial period to World War II
