2021-08-28, TL, Renens, Futur dépôt tramways

Après plusieurs années de retard, le TL ont lancé le 24 août 2021 le chantier de construction du tramway Lausanne Flon - Renens Gare Nord tout en déposant la demande de concession du prolongement jusqu'à Villars Ste. Croix.
Le public était convié à une manifestation sur le site du futur dépôt, situé du côté occidental du dépôt autobus / trolleybus de Perrelet, le samedi 28 août 2021.

Une face restaurée de l'ancienne Ce 2/2 36 est présentée à côté d'un plan du réseau de 1959.
La carcasse de la motrice 36, sans châssis, avait été découverte par hasard au pied du Jura vaudois. A l'exception des cabines qui avaient été modernisées, l'état de la caisse ne permettait pas une rénovation.
