             Escalier du phare de l'Armandèche est situé sur le continent à l'Ouest du port des Sables-d'Olonne, en Vendée.

Erigé en 1968 d’après les plans de l’architecte Maurice Durand, il est le dernier grand phare à avoir été construit en France. 

Il tient son nom du lieu-dit l'Armandèche, à La Chaume, un quartier des Sables-d'Olonne. L’Armandèche est une déformation de « Normandie » qui rappelle les invasions normandes du premier millénaire.

Staircase of the Armandèche lighthouse is located on the continent to the west of the port of Sables-d'Olonne, in Vendée.

Built in 1968 according to the plans of the architect Maurice Durand, it is the last large lighthouse to have been built in France.

It takes its name from the place called l'Armandèche, in La Chaume, a district of Sables-d'Olonne. Armandèche is a corruption of “Normandy” which recalls the Norman invasions of the first millennium.

Der Name geht auf den Ort l'Armandèche in La Chaume, einem Stadtteil von Sables-d'Olonne, zurück. Armandèche ist eine Verballhornung von „Normandie“, die an die normannischen Invasionen des ersten Jahrtausends erinnert.

建築家モーリス・デュランの設計に従って 1968 年に建てられたこの灯台は、フランスに建てられた最後の大きな灯台です。

その名前は、サーブル ドロヌ地区ラ ショームにあるラルマンデーシュと呼ばれる場所に由来しています。 アルマンデシュは「ノルマンディー」の転訛で、最初の千年紀のノルマン人の侵略を思い出させます。
