Trundling down to Trowse - a photo on Flickriver

            The Mountsorrel - Norwich Trowse (Redland Sidings)... was the fixture among freight workings along the Ely - Norwich line.  Long-established, its times seem to have become a moveable feast in recent years, but on Thursday 24th May 2018, it was on its "classic" 08.53 departure from Mountsorrel.  It is seen passing one of Brandon station's staggered platforms and its malfunction-plagued level crossing.  The new development of energy-efficient micro-homes beyond the redundant signalbox denied me a useful photographic vantage point ...handy, in season, for a routine shot of the RHTT.
