Loco @ Perrin's engine shed, Birkenhead Docks - May 1962 - hand coloured version

My hand *coloured (if you want to use it please credit me and link to this description) version, of an old, poor quality (particularly on the right) photograph taken in May 1962 on a 'shed bash/rail tour' taking in Birkenhead Docks. This is of an unknown 0-4-0 saddle tank steam shunter at Perrin's engine/locomotive shed. Joseph Perrin & Sons Ltd. started in 1891 and were one of a number of small docks shunting firms, apparently the Perrin shed was "close to the Egerton Bridge", and about to fall down by the look of it.

This is in a rail enthusiast old photo album (owner's name is not known), the photo reverse is annotated with "Perrin at Perrins shed Birkenhead Docks, 6 May 1962".

💻 I did get suggestions on Facebook regarding the engine, a couple of them were:-
🚂 Andrew Wylie - “Perrin” was a Barclay but that looks far more like a small Hudswell Clarke which would make it HC 1081/14, named at one time “Liverpool”. At this time Perrins had 3 steamers (2 x AB and 1 x HC) and they went for scrap in January 1964 after being replaced by a second hand Fowler diesel. (Source - IRS Handbook G)
and
🚂 Adam Roper - Lesser Railways of the Yorkshire Dales by Harold Bowtell lists Perrin as Andrew Barclay 820 of 1898, originally Gameshope at Talla Reservoir, Ballachulish, Angram Reservoir etc. But this loco doesn’t look like a Barclay…
