RTB V203 | trein 43957 | Vechten | 21-03-2009

            Vechten, 21 maart 2009 - Ten westen van Bunnik bevindt zich het dorp Vechten, waar tussen 1867 en 1870 een Fort verrees als onderdeel van de Hollandse Waterlinie. Het diende lange tijd samen met het Fort bij Rijnauwen voor de bescherming van de Houtense vlakte. De spoorlijn Utrecht - Arnhem doorkruist dit gebied en zo ook Rurtalbahn's V203 die met trein 43957 onderweg is naar Emmerich (D). Aldaar zal een locomotief van de Wiener Lokalbahn de trein overnemen en verder slepen naar Enns, nabij Linz.
