Canon 6D with Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM

So after doing some test shots on the 4th, I decided to take the 70-300mm F/4-5.6L IS USM into the field on the 5th.

We had received some snow over night, and the sky looked promising.

This series of pictures is among my favorites all time.

These images focus on a tree at Rollins Pond that I have dubbed the "Sentinel Tree" as it appears to be keeping watch over the pond.  These are my favorites for the day of shooting.
