            Sohier Park Visit - 12/12/2023

Canon 6D with Canon 70-200mm F4L IS USM & 1.4x Extender

Sohier Park in York, Maine is one of my favorite travel destinations, dating back more than 50 years.  

So after taking several shots with the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary, I decided to take just a few shots with the 70-200mm F4L and the 1.4x Extender.  I bought both gently used, and while I had done some work with the 70-200mm F4L, I had done very little with the 1.4x Extender.  I wanted to test the AF and grab a few shots of familiar subjects.  I found that the color rendering was just a little different with the 70-200mm F4L and 1.4x than the Sigma.  Not unpleasant really, just different.

The combination of the the 70-200mm F4L and the 1.4x Extender resulted in a combined equivalent reach of 98-280mm.

Overall, I was quite pleased with the results.
