Söderåsen - a photo on Flickriver

Söderåsen

            Söderåsen National Park was established in 2001 [1] in Klippan and Svalöv municipalities. It ranges from Skäralids ravine in the north to the south Nackarpsdalen. The area was already protected but then got stronger protection. The park has several hiking trails and is a popular destination.

Skäralid ravine, overlooking the point Kopparhatten, is part of the largest contiguous deciduous forest areas [citation needed] with a large element of beech and oak. At the head of Nackarpsdalen is the circular Oden lake surrounded by steep rock walls.

The National Park is within walking distance of bus stops Skäralid and Röstånga. If you travel from Malmö or Lund change from train to bus 518 Skånetrafikens in Stehag. If you are traveling from Helsingborg and Kristianstad can change from train to bus 518 in Klippan.

Just north of the National Park is hiking Klåveröd. Skåneleden (ledavsnittet ridge to the trail is) is Söderåsen all the way from Åstorp to Rostanga. On Söderåsens southern slopes are the two hiking areas Finstorp and Smedjebacken. Outside Stenestad located park facility Stenestad park.
