The Hoover’s move to La Puente, California in 1957.
I am not sure who the Hoover’s are or why LIFE MAGAZINE chronicled their move to La Puente, but growing up in La Puente from 1957 on… I wanted to extract these photographs that were posted from the LIFE MAGAZINE website – just in case LIFE MAGAZINE changed their hosting or posting.
These pictures really are a treasure and captures life in southern California in the post WWII era. La Puente was just getting started. The LIFE MAGAZINE posting did not provide any editorial, but would love to obtain it someday. In the mean time – enjoy these early mid century pictures from La Puente, California (with a few from what I presume to be the Los Angeles Airport). If anyone knows who the Hoover’s are or more information on this story, please pass on to me.
