Moutains, reflections, and rocks — Norway

            A picture taken on a long hike remote in Jotunheimen, from Skogadalsbøen to Fondsbu. This picture try to capture the eerie atmosphere of a high mountain lake. I like to think of post-rock music (Russian Circles for instance) in the background.

In terms of composition and post-processing, I chose to increase the dark-to-light gradient going from foreground to background, as well as increase the contrast in foreground to make its texture, and the light stone stand out. With regards to colors, I shifted the shadows toward deep purple (with a "color correction" filter). To go more in details, I applied local contrast enhancement and clarity filter in the foreground, to increase the lines. I also applied a set of tone curve filters to great contrast on the stones that emerge from the water, to have the horizon light and contrasted, and to darken the top of the image in the sky.
