The Rockefeller family's intensifying fight against Exxon Mobil over climate change is a inspiring example of using one's wealth and influence for a greater cause.

Led by Miranda Kaiser, a great-great-granddaughter of John D. Rockefeller Sr., the family is funding litigation and supporting lawsuits across the United States, holding the fossil fuel industry accountable for its role in exacerbating climate change.

Despite setbacks and Exxon's aggressive attempts to discredit their efforts, the Rockefellers remain steadfast in their moral imperative to address the harm caused by the industry that generated their immense fortune. Kaiser's determination, driven by her late brother's dying wish, is a testament to the power of purpose and personal conviction.

This campaign reminds us that wealth and legacy can be leveraged for positive change (can we even #FixTheWorld!), even if it means challenging the very foundations upon which that (their) wealth was built.

The Rockefellers' actions serve as a #RallyingCry for other influential families, foundations, and organisations to take bold steps in the fight against climate change.

As Miranda Kaiser aptly states, "It would be unconscionable to benefit from something that you then know is harming the world and not do something about it." Their story encourages us all to confront the environmental consequences of our actions and embrace our responsibility to protect the planet we call home.
