            I visited Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria, Virginia three times this year, and for reasons that escape me now, I'd yet to post any of the photos from this beautiful place .... better late than never. 

Probably a surprise to many, Green Spring Gardens had several Lotus this year at one of their lakes ..... nothing like Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens of course, but 2-3 dozen. One of my visits happened to be at their prime. 

In an attempt for something a little different, I shot this one with dominate backlighting, here in black and white.
