Egyptian Plover with Spur-winged Lapwings - Ghana

            The Egyptian Plover was a major reason for going to the northernmost part of Ghana. Ironically this species does not occur in Egypt. Both species are primarily found in Africa south of the Sahara and north of the equator. Unfortunately there were logistical reasons for visiting this site in the afternoon which meant that this photo is into the sun.
