Spot the Brown Booby (Sula leucogaster)!

            Brown Booby is normally a bird of tropical oceans, not lakes in Canada! The booby is the 7th from the left on the top rail - more obvious in a telescope but at 1100 metres tightly cropped photos just did not work so you get to see the bigger picture. The photo was taken from a beach in Hamilton, Ontario with the Toronto skyline in the background over 50 km away. The black birds on the structure are Double-crested Cormorants (Phalacrocorax auritus). Needless to say this rare bird has been quite a draw for birders.
