The Submillimeter Array and LASERS - a photo on Flickriver

            Mauna Kea is always amazing. I'm observing on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope, and I went for a walk over to the SMA tonight. I'm fairly sure I tripped their motion alarms, but they didn't come out and yell at me because I wasn't in the restricted areas.

There's something odd going on in this image--it's not an editing artifact. I'll wait for someone to identify it in the comments. I was quite confused for a little while when I noticed it while chimping this image on the back of my camera.
