Another View of a Most Remote Cabin - a photo on Flickriver

Hidden in the Inyo Mountains of California, days of four-wheeling and hiking from the nearest road, is what's perhaps the most hard-to-access cabin in the state. I took the shortest route to here and did around 50 miles on a 4wd road followed by a hike with 17,000 ft of elevation change. The cabin was constructed on the hillside to service an adjacent gold mine over a century ago. The light on the horizon right of the cabin is from Las Vegas.

This is a stack of 9 5-minute exposures with the new FE 20-50 f/4 lens wide open. It's quite sharp and also very compact, making it an ideal lens for backpacking.
