A Spirit of Adventure - a photo on Flickriver

            My one and only cruise was aboard this ship the "Spirit of Adventure". It is a small ship unlike the cruise ships today this is very small ship and as such it was able to get into smaller ports around Iceland. On the way to Iceland we called into Kirkwall. 
Being a transport enthusiast whilst most of my fellow passengers beetled off to empty Kirkwall's shops of tins of shortbread I hung back to photograph the coaches SAGA had hired to transport the less able the 500 yards into town.
N584 XSA was a Volvo B10M-62 with Plaxton C51F body new in July 1996 to Bluebird 584, Stagecoach it passed to Dunn's coaches from Stagecoach.
The other vehicle belongs to Maynes coaches, it is a Volvo B12M with Berkhof Axial C40Ft body, new to Ferris, Nantgarw. This coach had a number of different operators, it was new as FL02 ZXY, it was with Patron Travel as RJT 671 and Maynes (and John Leaske) as BRZ 1012.
The Spirit of Adventure in this form has been long withdrawn but the name has been taken by a brand new and much larger ship.
