Beautiful unique architecture of Agha Bozorg Silk Road era mosque and religious school - Kashan, Iran

KASHAN, Isfahan, Iran - The beautiful and unique architecture looking toward the entrance gate to the Agha Bozorg mosque and madrasa or religious school, with two large wind catching towers / badgirs for cooling purposes, and several different levels rising from an underground open courtyard.

This was my last stop in my third and last ever visit to the beautiful Kashan before heading to Isfahan, and quite a memorable dusk because of what happened next. I hopped into a public bus on my way to what I believed to be the inter-city bus station. But the final stop only happened to be the final station of the public bus system. Back then my Persian language was extremely limited, enough to explain the bus driver where had I intended to go, but not to understand the reason of his panicked response revealing some kind concern for me. Quite extraordinarily, in a reaction that reminded me of the people of Yazd, this driver dedicated his after hours to drive me to the highway (still in the public bus!) and instructed me how to catch a bus to Isfahan from there. Many thanks to him, whoever it was, who made my arrival to lovely Isfahan possible.
