York Minster in Morning Mist - a photo on Flickriver

            York Minster is one of the world's famous cathedrals, built between 1220 and 1472.  I stayed across the street from the magnificent cathedral during a week-long meeting near York, England.  The Minster was a beautiful spiritual presence during my stay, almost to the point where I miss it now that I'm back home.  I took endless photos in various lights and weather:  during a rainy first day, at sunset, lit at night, and this one of the towers shrouded in morning mist.  I felt a bit like Claude Monet who painted the Rouen Cathedral in all kinds of light.  York is a photographer's delight: stay tuned for more photos!
