project 365: cheater's way out - a photo on Flickriver

            Ok, I'll admit it:

I did NOT take this picture on April 29. However, I'm counting it towards my project 365.

On April 29, I stopped by the blood bank to donate after work. I've donated blood plenty of times before, and I try to donate whenever I can. The last few times I stopped by, I had low iron, so I was happy to hear that I was able to donate. However, after I donated, I got violently sick. I'll spare you the details, but I can say that it was truly ridiculous how sick I got, and I ended up on the couch for the rest of the night, barely able to move. Weird, because I've donated blood tons of times and never had an issue before. Then i realized I didn't eat enough before donating. I've learned my lesson. And I'm still going back to donate next time. (& you should too, if you can! Blood banks all over the country are hurting for donors right now, and one pint of blood can save up to three lives. Just make sure you eat a big lunch first!)
