Working on another Y182 BGB, this time in its life with First Lanarkshire / Glasgow. 1/76 scale.

Interior, rear facing.

Having made a couple of attempts to model 182 in its Hutchison of Overtown livery and being happy with the end result, I have decided to attempt to replicate it in later life, wearing the First Bus “Barbie” livery. 

Work completed so far includes; 
Painting the purple FirstBus seat moquette.
Painting the yellow seat handles as per 182.
Cutting, painting and installing cocktail sticks to serve as grab rails. 
Installing clear plastic as a bandit screen. 
Painting the ticket machine to replicate the Wayfarer. 
Painting posters and a “bus stopping” display board insitu. 

While personally I am much more a fan of the original Hutchison livery, as I am also a fan of this particular bus, it only seemed right to have models reflecting different stages of its life in service. 

If you are interested, I have pictures of the real life Y182 BGB arriving back to Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust (GVVT) from Ferrymill Motors having been painted back into its original livery for preservation. Those pictures are with thanks to the owners who allowed me to be there for 182’s return and who kindly allowed me to board and take interior pictures too. 

To the right are some signs made up and ready to install in the new Belshotmuir diorama which is still in progress and will improve significantly on the old layout
