On the rocks

            I have to admit that I was a huge fan of selective coloring. At the time I was learning the basics of photography, this technique was, for me, the most efficient way to lead the attention of the viewer... then I saw how people just bashed this types of pictures in forums, calling them 'outdated', 'trashy' even 'desperate'.

I never actually understood why many people hate it. I can somehow get the whole overcooked-HDR debate, but selective coloring is an actual advertising tool, and, to my eyes, it can be very pleasing and powerful when it comes to transmit certain messages (this is not the best example off course).

So, after many years of letting others shut this door for me, and taking advantage of the fact that I'm hooked with B&W post-processing, this is my latest attempt to do some selective coloring. ¿Do you despise it as well?
