Red Squirrel (Explored) - a photo on Flickriver

Last February we went to Scotland to take photos of red squirrels in the snow, but unfortunately this project failed completely. It was 14 degrees and all the snow had gone. But we did get inspiration for another project: red squirrels in the heather. So at the beginning of September we gave it a try. This time our timing was a little better, because in the Cairngorms there were patches of purple heather everywhere. And the squirrels collaborated very well too! Funny enough the weather was the exactly same as in February: some sun, some rain, and 14 degrees again...
