Iconic Africa

            Female leopard: Masai Mara region, Kenya

I was very fortunate to spend an evening and morning with this beautiful leopard on my recently concluded trip to Kenya. Sadly, multiple well known female leopards were killed in the general area earlier this year by aggressive male lions. As such, it was quite a challenge to find this beautiful girl. 

We found her with an impala, watched her go up and down this tree on multiple occasions, spent an hour watching her through a downpour, and returned the next morning when this image was taken.
