Foop (2019)

            An old friend, Kevin Hollenbeck, that I recently (Thanksgiving 2023) found out had passed away from colon cancer in 2022. This was the last time I saw him at Awesome Con 2019. He had brought an accordion to get a photo with "Weird" Al Yankovic (possibly getting him to autograph it, as well, as he had a history of getting musicians to autograph odd things like Tori Amos signing a rubber chicken). 

We didn't talk much past the mid-1990s – he was one of my roommates at my first Dragon Con in 1994 – as our lives went in different directions. He got out of the con scene and went into theater and musical stuff (did some things with The Dresden Dolls) but I will miss hearing about his various mis-adventures (nothing illegal but comical).
