Gothic Glass and Stone, Prague, Czech Republic

The gothic stonework and intricate stained glass on the southern transept of Katedrála svatého Víta, Václava a Vojtěcha (St. Vitus, St. Wenceslas and St. Adalbert Cathedral), at the Hradčany castle in Praha, Česká Republika.

The window with its elaborate tracery sits above the portal, known as The Golden Gate for the golden mosaic of the Last Judgment the appears on it, through which kings entered the cathedral for coronation ceremonies. The mosaic is also notable for being an atypical decorative device for the region, being more Italiante in nature. The portal is adjacent and directly east of the bell tower.
