            La troupe de théâtre Paix et Développement en Afrique joue une représentation théâtrale sur le thème des violences basées sur le genre à Nyunzu, une ville située à 195 km à l’ouest de Kalemie, dans la province du Tanganyika, à l’est de la République démocratique du Congo, le 17 novembre 2021. La province du Tanganyika a connu de nombreux déplacements de population en raison d’un conflit entre les communautés pygmées et bantous qui a atteint son paroxysme entre mi-2016 et fin 2017.En janvier 2020, une nouvelle vague du conflit communautaire a éclaté au Sud du territoire de Nyunzu, suite à la mort du chef Mukimbo de la communauté Bantou, et s’est ensuite répandue vers l’Ouest et le Nord du territoire. Cette résurgence du conflit a engendré de nouveau d’importants mouvements de population et de graves violations des droits humains. Par ailleurs, ce contexte de tensions communautaires et de déplacement a participé à l’amplification des violences basées sur le genre, déjà très répandues dans le pays.    /     The Peace and Development in Africa theater group performs a theatrical performance on the theme of gender-based violence in Nyunzu,  a town located 195 km west of Kalemie, in the province of Tanganyika, in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo , on November 17, 2021. The province of Tanganyika has experienced numerous population displacements due to a conflict between the Pygmy and Bantu communities which reached its peak between mid-2016 and the end of 2017. In January 2020, a new wave of community conflict erupted in the south of Nyunzu territory, following the death of chief Mukimbo of the Bantu community, and then spread to the west and north of the territory. This resurgence of conflict has again resulted in significant population movements and serious human rights violations. In addition, this context of community tensions and displacement has contributed to the amplification of gender-based violence, which was already widespread in the country.
