If Its Any Consolation - a photo on Flickriver

            Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, Mt. Babel and Fay Glacier

I read online that there are 2 lakes, a Lower and Upper Consolation Lake.  When I arrived it just looked like one lake to me.  I did find someone mentioning that, depending on the time of year, there may or may not be a separation of the lakes.  So, I want to say I am at the border of the what, during the warmer months, is Upper Consolation Lake since I had to scramble over giant boulders and this was just about as far as I could get without getting wet.  A cool morning, a lovely little hike, and absolutely resplendent views.  If you have the time, after you take in the sights of Moraine Lake from the famous rockpile, you should absolutely check this place out.
