NOT Charles Earl Bowles, known as Black Bart, an English-born American Old West outlaw

This photo can be found all over the internet and is described as "Charles Earl Bowles, known as Black Bart, an English-born American Old West outlaw ".

It is not.

It is actually a photo of Floyd Douglass Peterson Øydegaard, born in 1946, decades after Charles E. Boles vanished.

Mr. Øydegaard is Reenactor, Actor, Photographer & Writer.

The photo was taken in 1994 and can be seen on Mr. Øydegaard's resume on the Spotted Dog range website here;

And although it is of course a huge compliment to Mr. Øydegaard that people all over the internet think his picture is real, as he loves history as much as I do, I expect him to also be annoyed with it at the same time.

So when you see this picture shared as genuine, you can correct those who are sharing it.

It is fake history.
So I share this hoping that people will share this information every time they see the picture somewhere.

If the copyright owner (Mr.Øydegaard I assume) object to the sharing here, kindly contact me and I shall remove it right away.
