Highland Cattle in Hampshire - a photo on Flickriver

            I found these cattle on Farley Mount, not seen them there before. Apparently they are the ideal choice for conservation grazing, hardy so out in all weathers, with a long breeding life, eating vegetation which most cattle find unpalatable. With their long powerful horns they shrub bash, clearing their way through thickets and undergrowth. They trample down bracket and brambles, and in the spring they eat the shoots of weeds. Just not sure how they can see where they are going :-)
