The Relaxing Crack Of Glass - a photo on Flickriver

            You know those weeks from Hell that pop up here and there?  The ones you are not sure you can make it through.  Yes, those ones.  Just when you prepare for the next disaster, something gives and a sigh of relief creeps around the corner to give you a break.

A big red moon rises over the mountains and if you are on Flickr then you know a smile crawls across your face and your heart skips a beat as you grab your camera and head out to nowhere in the middle of the desert to get an amazing shot of the entire city at night with the big red Moon rising majestically over the mountains behind it.  I found the perfect spot, stopped the car, locked it, shut the door, took two steps and realized the keys where still inside.  No phone, no traffic and miles between me and the next person.  After pacing for what seems an hour, I heard Emperor Palpatine whisper in my ear, Pick up the rock, feel the hate, throw that rock through the window.  Finally, I broke down, chucked the rock, heard it bounce off the glass and felt it smack me square in the chest.  

It didn't bounce off the glass a second time and for a brief moment as I drove home with the wind blowing through what was left of my hair, I felt the relaxation of breaking something before realizing I never got the shot.
