Living on the edge- A quay photo. - a photo on Flickriver

            Although I grew up in a working class area of a big city I find myself drawn to photograph the the coast and the junction of land, sea and sky. Mankind has been part of this landscape for thousands of years and we are now as much a part of it as the waves.

I've been thinking for a while that I should try to do more colour, so I'm going to add this endeavour to my ever growing list of New Year resolutions.  

This photo represents an early start. Taken at Wells-next-the-sea, Norfolk, England. The quay is not only home to a number of working vessels, but is the summer it hums to the hustle and bustle of holiday makers that feel the town.
