Ennerdale stars - a photo on Flickriver

Ennerdale stars

            The western shore of Ennerdale.

This is compiled from a series of exposures taken over a period of time and blended using software.  The camera was as low as I could get without falling off a small wall into the river!

The sky just above the hills is a little too light for my liking but on the other hand I wouldn't have got as much detail if it were a darker shot.  The detail in the hills is fantastic.

The number of shots taken was just over 40, the total time period was about 45 minutes, and each exposure was just over a minute; photos were blended together in software.  The camera ISO was 1000, aperture f2.8 and I used a Canon TC-80N3 to do the timing.
