            This was the best thing I bought on my trip -- an old wooden type block of the lower-case "a" from Gill Sans. I found it at an antique stall at Spitalfields Market in London. There were other letters to choose from, but this is one of the more distinctive letters in the entire typeface. Gill Sans is the most British typeface ever -- I played a lot of spot-the-font while I was in London -- so this seemed like an appropriate souvenir.
