Rich Keefer, Crusader Pilot - a photo on Flickriver

Although Rich Keefer never flew this particular Crusader, his name appears on the canopy rail in recognition of his service as a docent at the USS Hornet Museum.

Rich flew more than 1000 hours in various models of the F-8 Crusader, making more than 300 arrested landings.

I took this photo of Rich and F-8A 143703 during an extensive tour devoted to air operations.
