Old CT 15 Shield - a photo on Flickriver

Old CT 15 Shield

            This very old CT 15 shield is posted in the Greenwich area. Back from around the early 1950s to the 1980s (a very rough estimate), the state traffic commission (now ConnDOT; Connecticut Department of Transportation) had Connecticut outline shields along the Merritt Parkway only, making this style unique in Connecticut. Since then, most of the shields and BGSs that had this style of shield have been replaced with a few of them still around, like this one here. There was another one on the same post directly behind this one too!
