The Eindhoven University of Technology (aka TU/e, standing for Technische Universiteit Eindhoven) was founded in 1956 in the Netherlands and operates in English with more than 11,000 students. It is ranked between 51–141 in the world. TU/e is within the top ten technical universities in Europe. 

TU/e’s moto is Where Innovation Starts. “Mens Agitat Molem” is another motto, used by an alumni group of TU/e. In Latin it means Mind Drives Matter (or Mind Moves Matter or Mind Over Matter).

Eindhoven is a Dutch city which grew exponentially thanks to electronics giant Philips, founded there in 1891. During the 1990s Philips moved elsewhere, but Eindhoven has remained a centre of high-tech research and industry with its very own top technology institute.
